Wishing the very best of luck to Scott, a past patient of the NRH, as he embarks on an exciting challenge this August. Scott has decided to participate in the Warriors Run, in Strandhill, Co. Sligo on 24th August 2024 to raise much needed funds for the NRH.
Scott tells us his story:
“Not long ago, I experienced a spinal stroke, which left me unable to walk, and I had to rely on a frame to move around. Thanks to the incredible support and expertise of the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH), I gradually regained my strength and today, many of you wouldn’t even know that I had such a significant health challenge. Though I still face some weaknesses in my legs and hands, my recovery has been remarkable. Many people in my situation are not as fortunate, often facing severe and lasting paralysis. I owe my progress to the dedication and care of the NRH. By supporting my run, you’re helping ensure that others can receive the same life-changing care and rehabilitation that I did.”
