32nd Lough Lein Anglers’ Association Open Fly Fishing Competition

Charity Open Fly Fishing Competition

On Sunday 28th of April 2019, keen fly fishers took to the lakes of Lough Lein, from Ross Castle, Killarney National Park, for the 32nd Lough Lein Anglers’ Association Open Fly Fishing Competition “The Charity”.

The ‘Charity’ are helping to raise money towards the equipping of 26 Bedrooms, in the new NRH development, with Specialised Assisted Technology Equipment.

Over 70 anglers took to the lakes in Killarney for the day, and raised over €25,000 towards the assisted technology equipment.  This is all thanks to Timo O’Sullivan, a past patient of the NRH, who with his amazing team coordinated this fantastic fundraising event, which will make a direct difference to the lives of patients in the NRH Brain & Spinal Injury Programmes.
